SIF ® Felt

Overview

SIF ® Felt is a flexible, compressed foam made from a reticulated polyester or polyether open pore foam. SIF ® Felt has unusal sound-absorbing properties, excellent permeability, high physical strength, outstanding filtration efficiency, abrasion resistance and wicking characteristics. By varying machine conditions and the ratio of intial foam thickness to final fel tthickness, specific performance characteristics can be achieved. A wide range of foams can be felted to achieve desired results.

Primary Usage

SIF ® Felts are great for fluid management applications where delivery and storage of a liquid at controlled rates is important. Examples include inkjet printer cartridges, pens, insoles in footwear and medical applicators.
