Overview
Pyrell ® is a combustion-modified, flexible polyester foam that intumesces when flame is applied. The surface charring forms a protective shield between the flame and the foam underneath. This carbon char has low thermal conductivity and high oxidation resistance. Pyrell ® uses a nonmigrating flame-retardant system that retains its properties even after extended aging. A key attribute of Pyrell ® is that it is halogen free, important for applications where environmental concerns exist.
Primary Usage
Pyrell ® is designed for noise in harsh environments with strong FR compatibility. In addition, Pyrell ® is halogen free, so it is often used where there are environmental concerns.
